Mamnoon Hussain, President of Pakistan, has vowed to support in establishing engineers academy and service structure for engineers while addressing the participants of the inaugural ceremony of 1st PEC Deans International Conference of Engineering Institutions on Tuesday, 13th Feb, 2018 at Islamabad.
The theme of the conference is “Engineering Education Standardization, Challenges and Solutions: Post Washington Accord Scenario”. This Two-day event has been organized by Pakistan Engineering Council in collaboration with Higher Education Commission, University of Lahore, Ripha International University, COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Hamdard University, TechLogix, Indus University and Usman Institute of Technology.
Addressing the event, President Mamnoon showed satisfaction over the direction taken by engineering sector to contribute in the development of the country. He assured his full support in fulfilling the demand of engineers’ academy and service structure of engineers.
Engr Zahid Arif, Vice Chairman of Pakistan Engineering Council briefed the participants about the achievements of PEC at international level and the initiatives taken for the welfare of engineering community.
Engr Fazal Ahmad Khalid, Vice Chancellor, UET Lahore also addressed the inaugural session as key note speaker and highlighted the need for curriculum revision in light of the upcoming challenges and technology revolution.
Engr. Jameel Ahmad, Conference Chair, briefed the audience about the objectives, theme and expected outcomes of the very conference.
