Pakistan Engineering Congress is a multi-disciplinary body of professional engineers established in the year 1912. It is a non-government and non-political organization. Its office bearers are all elected professional engineers and they work voluntarily in honorary capacity during their tenures of office. As per policy, a symposium on some pertinent topics of national significance is held along with the proceedings of annual sessions. So far the Pakistan Engineering Congress has organized 37 such symposiums at which 328 papers were presented/printed in book form and distributed complimentary to the relevant persons/forums.
This year Annual Symposium was held on the topic of “Impact of Infrastructure Development and Pakistan Economy” at Pearl Continental (P.C) Hotel Lahore. The Inaugural Session was grace by the eminent Engr. Shams-ul-Mulk Former Chairman WAPDA/Former Chief Minister-KPK.
Annual Session of the Congress was a mega event participated by 500-600 luminaries of engineering profession from various disciplines. The event was attended by a number of engineers from Public/Private sectors.
