Center of Excellence in Water Resources Engineering, UET Lahore organized an international one-day seminar on “Role of Large Dams in Sustainable Development of Pakistan”.
Vice Chancellor UET Prof. Dr. Fazal Ahmad Khalid was the chief guest whereas Director PPIB Islamabad Engr. Munawar Iqbal delivers a lecture on “Sustainable Development of Pakistan: Role and Strategic Planning of Small and Medium Dams with Runoff River Hydropower Projects”, Ex-Chief Minister KPK; Ex-Chairman WAPDA Engr. Dr. Sham ul Mulk gave a special lecture on dams, Ex-Chairman and Member IRSA Punjab talk about “Water Resources Management in Pakistan”, SE/Director (Hydrological) Mangla Dr. Aftab Hussain Azhar addressed on “Pakistan’s Current Water-Short Dams Scenario Desperately Demanding Effective Water Conservation Measures for its Sustainability” and Managing Director TEAM Consultants Engr. Haji Farooq discussed on “Hydropower: A Vital Source for Sustainable Development”.
