Escorts Ltd the holding company of Farmtrac Tractors Europe has unveiled its latest global tractor portfolio ranging from 20-120 hp, at the Agritechnica 2017 trade fair in Hanover, Germany. Escorts is also showcasing its first indigenously-developed electric tractor at the event. The new range of Farmtrac tractors are called New Escorts Tractor Series (NETS), and are fully compliant with EPA Tier 4 emission regulations. This global tractor series was designed by Studio F. A. Porsche, the company noted.
The range of NETS models include flagship models offering power ratings from 70-90 hp, as well as compact tractors in 22-30 hp range. Also on display are crossover tractors designed to cater to both on-farm and haulage applications, and tractors with cabin options for added driving comfort. Additionally, Farmtrac also introduced EPA Tier 4 emission regulations-compliant CRDi engines, which were previously limited to cars and naturally-aspirated machines. The company said this will meet customer demands from the US, Europe, Latin America, Africa and ASEAN countries, as well as a growing numbers of farmers in the Indian market.
A highlight of the company was the Farmtrac 26E, which is an electric tractor that is claimed to be the first such tractor to be developed and built in India. Although still in development, the full production version is expected during 2019, noted Escorts.
